RIP Bodge job 4000Okay it’s not as bad as it sounds! My old computer, Bodge job 4000, has finally given up. I thought I would power it up just to see if it’s working. Well it’s now not working.
For the first 10 seconds all I heard were the fan’s whurring around like normal and some clicking noise from the CD drive or the power unit. Then it cuts out with a puff of smoke from the power unit. I ‘m not going to turn it on again (or even plug it back in 
) for obvious reasons. The motherboard might be saveable but I feel that will be a bit pointless as its an old piece of crap !
I guess 4000 is now in the grave yard with my other four computers! Now I’ve got to work out what to do with the dead “body” ! I’m off to morn, Mike.
