My day off
22nd February 2007
I had all my lessons cancelled today so I headed off down to London for a spot of site seeing. First place on the list was the monument, got some amazing views of London and well worth the £2 entry fee
, only problem was the 311 steps to the top!
Next place on the list was to meet the protesters at Parliament square, I had seen them on the news and I had always wanted to visit them, I had a good chat with those folks, I must say they were very nice people. I had a good chat with them, on leaving I left with one of the protesters who was on his way home he helped me get to my next location…
Marble arch was up next, I was amazed by the engravings on the arch itself, Ive never seen it and was worth standing in the rain for
.
One more place to finish off my tour, bucks palace. It made me laugh that even though it was raining the tourists were out in force
, I spent an hour and half chatting with a NBC news crew. Its amazing how they broadcast to 8 million people from a tiny van. The guys were cool, I even helped out a little!
I then, unfortunatly had to head for home before I hit that wall called rush hour.
Well thats all I got for now, Chat later, Mike
